There were many interesting developments in 2015, but three of the most interesting were the rise of artificial intelligence, the proliferation of Internet-connected devices, and the surging popularity of drones. • Artificial Intelligence (AI): When Apple’s Siri debuted in 2011, its capabilities were somewhat limited. Four years later, Siri is much improved. I use its speech recognition features to dictate text messages most of the time now: it’s faster and more accurate than my hunt-and-peck typing skills on a tiny screen.
