X Prize and IBM invite teams to demonstrate AI’s potential to positively impact people’s lives

A new X Prize competition exclusively focusing on artificial intelligence was announced Wednesday. The $5 million worth competition has been introduced by the X Prize Foundation founder Peter Diamndis and IBM Watson general manager David Kenny. The competition known as IBM Watson AI X Prize: A Cognitive Computing Competition will involve inviting teams from across the globe to come up with their own challenges and demonstrate AI’s potential as to how it would positively impact people’s lives. There are no set boundaries for the teams, which gives them a sense of freedom to work with AI technologies.
