WWDC: Apple to showcase AI tech developments to rival Google and Facebook

APPLE WILL FLAUNT its work on artificial intelligence (AI) at WWDC, which could include a smarter Siri and some machine learning tech to rival efforts from Google and Facebook. Predictions sucked up from a load of reports bubbling away in the rumours cauldron point to apple doing the big ‘ta-da’ on a beefed-up Siri or a whole new AI platform, probably drawing from data and connectivity in the iOS ecosystem. Or Tim Cook could just announce Siri for Mac OS, do a mic drop and walk offstage.
