That’s what Amazon professor of machine learning at University of Washington and Dato founder, Carlos Guestrin, says about this artificial intelligence subfield. Guestrin has been practising machine learning long before it was cool, having started out as a student in robotics and automation engineering at Universidade de São Paulo in Brazil in the early ’90s, before moving to US to attend Stanford.
