Warren Gerds/Critic at Large: Review: ‘Watson Intelligence’

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. Ideas come cheap. Executing them is another matter. The play, “The (curious case of the) Watson Intelligence,” is loaded with ideas – past, present and futuristic. Three performers represent people in different eras who are wrestling with ideas and the difficulties (the execution) of an idea becoming a reality. Or something like that. Madeleine George’s play has so many ideas that they bump into each other. The viewing is absorbing, but a “wha?” is often close by. Studio Players, the “unconventional and intimate” arm of The Sheboygan Theatre Company, is presenting the play at the Paradigm Annex through Saturday, July 2.
