Twitter: Refining Content Portal Usage With Filtering Would Enhance Value To Power-Users

Summary I make the argument that Twitter should buy more filtering/machine learning tech to refine its usage as a content portal. While it’s true that Twitter already does this in a small capacity, I argue it can do this better and can offer secondary deployments to power-users via filtering. I also think Project Lightning offers a an interesting use-case, as does the idea of silo content apps, for filtering and preferential tweet treatment. Over the last six months or so I’ve tried to make smart recommendations and suggestions for how I think Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) could correct its growth issues and improve the marketability of its platform to marketers and advertisers.
