Toyota Pledges M To Research AI For Autonomous Vehicles, Hires DARPA’s Dr

He spearheaded the DARPA Robotics Challenge, a competition that brought teams from around the world together to compete for $3.5 million in prize money. The centers will focus on developing autonomous technology and next-gen systems that will make driving safer, easier, and more efficient. Stanford’s research is to be led by Li Fei-fei (李飛飛), director of the university’s artificial intelligence laboratory.
