Toyota invests million in AI centers, partners with Stanford, MIT

Toyota is investing $25 million to create a new artificial intelligence research center at Stanford University that will work on autonomous driving as well as robotics to help people move around indoors and outdoors.Toyota is also funding a $25 million parallel research center at MIT, and has hired Gill Pratt, a top robotics official from the military’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. He will be based in Silicon Valley.
