Toyota Invests Billion in Developing Artificial Intelligence and Robotics

According to a new report, Toyota is investing $1 billion in a research company it is setting up in Silicon Valley. The company plans to make use of its technology in developing artificial intelligence and robotics. On Friday, Toyota Motor Corp. President Akio Toyoda announced that the company will start operating at a facility with 200 employees near Stanford University in January. The second facility will be established near Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge. Earlier, the company announced that it will invest $50 million for artificial intelligence research at Stanford and MIT over a five year period.
