Techstars names 12 mobility-related companies for accelerator program

June 08, 2016 10:00 a.m. Updated Startups come from Chile, Canada and around U.S. Techstars Mobility has announced the 12 mobility-related companies that have been selected to take part in the second accelerator program at Ford Field in Detroit, which starts Monday.The class has an international flavor, with two companies from Ontario and one from Chile. According to Ted Serbinski, managing director of the program, applications came from every continent but Antarctica. The companies are: Acerta Systems Analytics Inc., a Waterloo, Ontario, company that uses data and algorithms to predict parts failures in airplanes, cars, trucks and advanced manufacturing. Algocian, a Toronto-based company whose artificial intelligence cloud-based technology provides video analytics for security and for autonomous vehicles.
