Technologists call for human resource development

LAHORE: Information technology experts warned that if Pakistan doesn’t upgrade its human resource with the latest knowledge it may end up importing workers.   They said computerised machines performing most of the job now need highly skilled workforce.   Computers are providing assistance in various fields, including aviation, law, medicines and petroleum geology. The nature of jobs has dramatically changed.   Computers cannot replace human beings despite their astounding brilliance.   They said data sets created for the most intelligent machines still need fine tuning by skilled persons to arrive at a final decision.   The experts said executives in the in current high tech scenario will be able to make the biggest difference through the human touch because they have the ability to do things that machines cannot do.…
