Stephen Hawking, a famous physicist from Britain, has said that the likely threat from artificial intelligence wasn’t only a far-off ‘Terminator’-style nightmare. He’s already indicated towards signs that AI was going down the wrong track. While speaking to veteran interviewer Larry King, Hawking said that governments are apparently busy in an AI arms race, making planes and weapons using intelligent technologies. He said that the financial support for the projects directly useful for the human race, like enhanced medical screening, looks rather a lower priority.
