Riverview Law buys knowledge automation business

Riverview has acquired New Jersey-based CliXLEX for an undisclosed sum in what is described as “a major step towards the creation of ‘virtual assistants’ that will improve the quality and speed of lawyers’ and paralegal work while freeing them to focus on key tactical and strategic matters”. It follows the partnership that Riverview Law entered into earlier this year with the University of Liverpool to leverage the university’s artificial intelligence expertise. CliXLEX owns and licenses a knowledge automation platform that enables knowledge workers, such as lawyers, with basic Microsoft Office skills to create, automate, maintain and evolve complex end-to-end workflows and processes for all areas of legal, compliance, risk and related activity.
