Research Associate: Neuroscience lab

We seek to hire a junior specialist to assist graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in performing live imaging experiments in acute brain slices and in vivo in mice. Responsibilities may include performing stereotaxic surgeries to deliver viruses to specific anatomical sites in the mouse brain; performing two-photon imaging in brain slices or in anesthetized and awake mice; performing whole-cell patch clamp or local field potential electrophysiology; carrying out image and electrophysiological analysis; performing immunostaining of brain slices to characterize neuron and glial protein expression in the nervous system; genotyping and mouse colony maintenance, and performing other duties as assigned.This is a full-time position, but there is start-date flexibility for the right candidate.
