Postdoctoral Researcher (Neuroscience/Drug Discovery)

The Drug Discovery program within the Center for Neurodegenerative Disease Research (CNDR) at the University of Pennsylvania is presently seeking a post-doctoral candidate interested in translational research directed to the identification of drug candidates for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. Applicants should have recently received a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience, biochemistry, pharmacology or a related specialty. The successful candidate will assist in the identification of new drug candidates directed to the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and related tauopathies, particularly compounds that are designed to correct the microtubule and axonal transport deficits that are believed to result from the development of brain pathology in these diseases.  Preferred candidates will have prior experience in neurodegenerative disease research, with demonstrated expertise in cell culture and basic laboratory methods such as immunoblotting and ELISAs,…
