Hours Full time Contract (temp/perm) Contract/temporary Start date September 2016 The project: The project, entitled ‘Active Inference and Cortical Circuits’ will involve components of theoretical neurobiology, learning theory (hierarchical Bayesian inference) and neural dynamic modelling (DCM: dynamic causal models). The goal of the research is to develop sophisticated learning agents which embody cognitive processes to produce adaptive and emergent behaviours. The research is motivated by theoretical neuroscience and empirical brain data and the successful candidate will pursue a multidisciplinary research course at the intersection of cognitive neuroscience and robotics.
