Pamela Reinagel (USA) Wins 2015 Neuroscience Cover Competition

Pamela Reinagel from the Section of Neurobiology, Division of Biological Sciences, at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) has won the annual IBRO Neuroscience Cover Competition for 2015. Her related article was “Using rats for vision research” in Neuroscience, Volume 296, published on 18 June 2015. She receives an award of USD 500. Reinagel has already distinguished herself as a respected academic researcher. She obtained her PhD in Biochemistry at Harvard University and conducted postdoctoral research in theoretical neuroscience with Christof Koch at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). She continued her postdoctoral work in experimental neuroscience with R. Clay Reid at Harvard Medical School and was a recipient of a Sloan Research Fellowship. She started her lab at UCSD in 2003.
