NVIDIA Jetson TX1 Mini Supercomputer created to Bring Artificial Intelligence

NVIDIA says their new credit-card sized “Jetson TX1” module will enable “a new generation of smart, autonomous machines that can learn”. Jetson TX1 is created to use deep neural net training and applies what it “sees” in the field with its cameras to identify objects and allow for a new superclass of autonomous products ranging from drones to robots that can navigate disaster areas to risky for humans. “Jetson TX1 will enable a new generation of incredibly capable autonomous devices“, said Deepu Talla, vice president and general manager of the Tegra business at NVIDIA. The Linux-powered module comes with its 1 teraflops of performance, 4-bit ARM A57 CPUs, 1GB Ethernet networking, 802.11 ac Wi-Fi and is under 10 watts.
