Neuroscientist David Eagleman, PhD, of Baylor College of Medicine, has built his academic career around figuring out how what happens in three pounds of biological material becomes the human experience. Although he’s already written several popular-science books on various topics in neuroscience, he’s now adapting those lessons for wider audiences in a new six-part PBS series, The Brain. “What we feel, what matters to us, our beliefs and our hopes, everything we are happens in here,” Eagleman says of the brain in the trailer for the new series, which airs on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 10 p.m. Eagleman, known especially for his work on neuroplasticity and human perception of time — which earned him a profile in the New Yorker a few years ago — talked with MedPage Today about…
