Mobile Tech and Data Science Startup, InVenture Scoops In Funding

New York based Mobile tech and data science startup, InVenture, has raised about R66.36 Cr ($10 Mn) in Series A round led by VC fund Data Collective. The round also see the participation from India and US-based early stage investment firm India Internet Fund, Lowercase Capital, Chris Hughes (co-founder, Facebook), Nathan Gettings (co-founder, PayPal), Vikram Pandit (former CEO, Citigroup), Tom Glocer (former CEO, Thomson Reuters), Collaborative Fund and Female Founders Fund. The funding will be use to expand its footprint into Sub-Saharan African and Asian markets. Founded in 2012 by Shivani Siroya, InVenture is a mobile technology and data science company which provides instant micro-loans service straight to a user’s mobile wallet.
