Mitko ’16 is football program’s first Academic All-American

Hamilton College’s Alex Mitko ’16 (Cranbury, N.J./Princeton HS) has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Division III Football Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).CoSIDA Academic All-America Division III Football TeamMitko, a second-team selection at defensive back, was one of 48 student-athletes named to the Academic All-America Team. He is the first Continental football player to ever earn academic all-America honors.A neuroscience and sociology major with a grade-point average of 3.90, he was named to the academic all-America team after earning first-team honors on the District 3 All-Academic Team.Mitko started every game at strong safety during his four-year career.
