The analysis in the previous sections shows how Uber introduces a new economic paradigm in the area of urban transport. The spearhead of this transformation is the surge pricing tactics enforced by the algorithmic recipes of the company. As we have observed already, taxi journey prices can vary in real time and from one neighborhood to another. Moreover the variations can have significant implications on the costs incurred on travellers.
