Microsoft announced new updates to Project Oxford including a new Face API that launched today that can detect a person’s emotion in a photo.(Photo : Microsoft) Microsoft announced a set of updates to its Project Oxford machine learning system at its Future Decoded conference in the UK, which includes a new API that will be able to detect emotions based on the expressions it reads in a still image. Project Oxford is Microsoft’s machine learning service that is part of its Azure portfolio which allows developers to create smarter apps by using the developed APIs that include facial-recognition technology, speech processing, language understanding interlace, and visual tools.
