Microsoft’s “Fetch!” Recognizes Dogs, Is Man’s New Best Friend

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has released an app named “Fetch!” which can tell you what breed a certain dog is. Perhaps drawing inspiration from other recognition apps such as SoundHound, which recognizes a music track based on a short audio clip, Microsoft’s app can be useful for users to get acquainted with various dog breeds. If you feel like having a bit of fun, the app can even tell you which breed you would be if you were a dog. As Microsoft outlined in its feature post, the Fetch! App is a graduate of Microsoft’s Garage labs and draws on data from Project Oxford. Utilizing artificial intelligence, this project is a follow-up of other ventures by Microsoft such as HowOld.net, MyMoustache.net and TwinsOrNot.net. Fetch! makes the best of new, powerful machine…
