Microsoft unveils features of Dynamics 365, its new bid to bring AI to the business world

Scott Guthrie, Microsoft’s executive VP for cloud and enterprise, at the Summit conference in Tampa today, where he led a demonstration of Dynamics 365. Microsoft in an extensive demo today unveiled the capabilities of its Azure-based Dynamics 365 service announced in July — describing it as a significant undertaking combining its customer relations management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) offerings with Office 365, Power BI analytics and Cortana artificial-intelligence capabilities, all delivered as a service over the internet. “This is a major initiative at Microsoft and involves the work of literally thousands of engineers,” said Scott Guthrie, executive VP of cloud and enterprise, as he began the demo at the Summit conference in Tampa.
