Marvin Minsky – Artificial Intelligence Pioneer and Legendary Scientist – Dies at the Age of 88

Marvin Minsky – the founding father of the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and the person who gave machines abilities to think – died on Sunday at the age of 88, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) said. Minsky died at a hospital in Boston because of a cerebral hemorrhage. In an email sent to Minsky’s colleagues, Nicholas Negroponte, the founder of the MIT Media Lab, said: “With great great sadness, I have to report that Marvin Minsky died last night.
