Marietta senior plans on changing the world

Rayo Oyeyemi has earned a spot at Yale University in the fall – but not in the “cookie cutter” kind of way. Oyeyemi of Marietta, who is a graduating senior at Marietta High School, said she is proud of her academic achievements, which include excelling in International Baccalaureate classes, but her acceptance into her “school of choice” after following her own path is her most meaningful accomplishment. Oyeyemi, 17, said she has followed her love of music while excelling in the classroom, and now she knows she is going to have to buy a few more coats to stay warm this winter in New Haven, Connecticut.
