Light regulation of circadian and arousal neural circuits

Todd C. Holmes is Professor of Physiology and Biophysics at the University of California at Irvine School of Medicine. His laboratory presently investigates transgenic strategies for exogenous control of in vivo neuronal electrical activity, physiological analysis of arousal and circadian neurons and circuits, whole circadian circuit imaging of light responses, circadian neural circuit pathophysiology, molecular characterization of light-activated modulators of neuronal ion channels, light-evoked animal behavior and novel strategies for the control of harmful insects.
