Kodak Alaris Forms An Artificial Intelligence Business

Kodak Alaris, which is a company that was spun off from Kodak a couple of years ago, is creating a new unit that utilizes artificial intelligence to help customers manage information. Kodak Alaris  has created a business called  AI Foundry,  which is a division dedicated to helping medium and large sized businesses and organizations process information. General Manager for the new effort Steve Butler, says this is a natural outgrowth of the scanning and other information gathering devices that the company already makes. “Document capture is a very important part of that business and so this is what happens after that; now you go from document capture into a business process to automate that for a company and so this is a natural thing, so  there’s a lot of synergy.”…
