Kodak Alaris enters artificial intelligence arena to tackle data overload

Kodak Alaris – the company formed from the ashes of camera company Eastman Kodak – has announced the next evolution of its business with the creation of a new artificial intelligence unit. The new unit, called AI Foundry, aims to meet the needs of organisations that are gathering ever-increasing amounts of data but struggling to understand what it means and how to use it to improve their operations. The unit is based on technology licensed from a German AI company called Ityx, in which Kodak Alaris has a stake.
