Kalamazoo shootings suspect told police Uber app controlled him ‘like artificial intelligence’

After recently starting as an Uber driver-partner, on February 20th Jason Dalton allegedly shot and killed six strangers, perhaps picking up other passengers in between and after the murders, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Jason Dalton told police he had killed but was not a killer; that it was his Uber app that had taken control of him and led him to open fire on random targets. “Dalton said that if we only knew, it would blow our mind”. Dalton told police that upon opening the Uber app, he saw a symbol resembling a devil’s head and “that’s when all the problems started”, the newspaper reported.
