IT learning centre opens

BHUBANESWAR: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated Mindtree Kalinga, the state-of-the-art global learning and delivery centre of the IT services company, here on Tuesday. Built on 20 acre with an investment of Rs 125 crore, the campus has a capacity to train 2,500 young engineers a year.Naveen said, “I hope Mindtree will continue to expand its growth and create employment avenues from Bhubaneswar in future. The government will provide all possible support to the Mindtree for its expansion in the state.” He said the state has set a target to create one lakh jobs in IT sector in the next five years.Chairman of Mindtree Subroto Bagchi said, “Mindtree Kalinga would bring its major operations to Bhubaneswar. We have designed an immersive learning programme based on practical training for deep learning.”He said…
