International Business Machines Corp Makes Public Sector Push With Optevia Acquisition

International Business Machines Corp.(NYSE:IBM) seems to be stepping efforts to deepen its presence in the market for software-based solutions for the public sector. The company in a press release revealed today that it has bought Optevia, a software as a service (SaaS) company that primarily provides solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to the public sector. The company is yet to disclose the acquisition amount. Optevia specifically caters to UK emergency services, the central government, the local Government, health authorities, and housing and social enterprises.
