Intel to improve its position in AI by acquiring Nervana Systems

Intel announced on Tuesday that the company is in advanced stages to buy deep learning startup Nervana Systems. The chip maker has not unveiled the amount it is paying, but sources known to the matter have said that the deal is valued at around $408 million. As per experts, artificial intelligence is considered to be the next big shift in corporate data centers. Intel vice president Jason Waxman was of the view that the decision could dwarf the move to cloud computing.
