Increasing Women in Neuroscience Toolkit is Now Available

+ Enlarge In an effort to increase awareness about issues facing women in academia and about effective strategies to improve hiring practices, SfN’s Professional Development Committee created a new tool called “Iincreasing Women in Neuroscience: Candidate Recruitment and Evaluation.”This members-only resource is a 30-minute presentation meant to be shared with students, faculty, and others involved in academia. It incorporates data, real-life success stories, and ready-to-implement tools that provide an overview of the gender retention issues present within neuroscience. It also outlines effective recruitment and evaluation strategies that departments can use to increase diversity among their faculty.
