In first overseas jaunt, Amazon’s Alexa to arrive in U.K., Germany

Alexa, Amazon.com’s voice-enabled digital concierge, is going places. Amazon said Wednesday that customers in the U.K. and Germany will now be able to interact with Alexa and buy Echo and Echo Dot home speakers, devices animated by the artificial-intelligence software. In the U.K., a land, as has been often said, separated from its American colonies by a common language, Alexa will sport a British accent.
