Robots are getting better day by day, thanks to projects like IBM’s Watson that uses some of the artificial-intelligence techniques to teach the robots to comprehend and imitate human communication better. This week, Robert High, the chief technology officer of Watson at IBM said while delivering a speech at a conference held in San Jose, California, called RoboBusiness that the project demonstrated few of the techniques which his team is working on for using in a small humanoid robot. The robot from the company Alderbaran, which was a Nao model, used realistic intonation to speak and also made suitable hand gestures while continuing a conversation with High.
