Google’s Deep Dream — or, more technically speaking, artificial neural network — has officially gone viral. If you haven’t heard, Deep Dream is a groundbreaking new type of “digital brain.” The images it produces are as mesmerizing as they are mind-melting. An artificial neural network (ANN) is the concept that artificial intelligence enthusiasts have always hoped for.
