That’s because several companies — including toy industry leader Mattel — are planning to roll out an assortment of AI-enabled toys this holiday season for kids as young as age three. The one toy that everyone’s been talking about, of course, is Mattel’s Hello Barbie, which is powered by a proprietary artificial intelligence platform that was developed by ToyTalk, a San Francisco-based AI company founded by two former Pixar employees.
