Google’s Open Sourced TensorFlow Could Accelerate AI Research And Development

In October, GOOGLE, the search business of Mountain View-based Alphabet Inc., announced that the lucrative division has been using artificial intelligence to rank websites and process intelligent queries. It’s called RankBrain, one of the products of the company’s investments in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Unlike other ranking signals, RankBrain enables the search engine network to process queries that its systems have never seen before. According to Greg Corrado, a senior research scientist at Google, RankBrain is processing 15 percent of queries a day, or millions based on the latest search per day count report of Google. RankBrain is learning by processing millions of queries per day. It’s like an infant trying to learn the word “dad” or “mom” — but with guidance of parents.
