Google Updates: beef, Trump and Snoop

WE START this week with a huge slice of beef. Dropcam beef to be precise. Greg Duffy, the founder of Dropcam, which he sold to Nest, which is part of the whole Google Alphabet soup, claimed that Nest boss Tony Fadell was guilty of “insulting” Dropcam employees who had moved to Next. He went on to say that Fadell had “fetishised some of Steve Jobs’s worst traits”. Let’s face it: when your company is owned by Google, Jobs references are pretty hardcore insults. Elsewhere, and Google has announced a native Cardboard SDK specifically for iOS, written in Objective C.
