Google Talks about Automaker Consortium for Autonomous Cars

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) head of autonomous vehicle project, John Krafcik, said Thursday that the company would like to see serious and specific propositions from every car manufacturer before it allows them entry into its partner consortium. The search giant is apparently on the lookout for other autonomous vehicle manufacturers in order to make its self-driving car project a reality, as per a recent Reuters report.Mr.Krafcik talked about the future of Google’s intelligent cars. He appeared alongside the US Transportation Secretary, Anthony Foxx, who said that the agency is collaborating with companies to define guidelines in order to ensure the technology’s safety.
