Google Open Sources Its Artificial Intelligence Engine TensorFlow

Google announced on Monday that it has now open sourced its artificial intelligence system called TensorFlow. The second-generation learning machine is the successor to the DistBelief Deep Learning infrastructure and will be easier to configure by third-party developers while also being faster and portable. When Google developed DistBelief in 2011, it helped the company’s efforts in advancing Deep Learning technology for its neural networks. The technology was used to improve speech recognition for the Google app, learn unlabeled images from YouTube and is responsible for the built-in image search in Google Photos. The infrastructure was a success, but its construction limited is from being shared to external developers.
