Google is using its Artificial Intelligence to conquer the London Underground

London’s commuters could be able to beat the rush hour crush thanks to Google’s artificial intelligence tools. The company’s DeepMind subsidiary has revealed an AI ‘neural network’ system that is able to pull in information from sources such as maps to help speedily navigate around the tube maze. DeepMind says that the system marks a major step forward in the development of artificial intelligence without the need for any human programming. The new AI service utilises a ‘differential neural computer’, or DNC, which can use the memories it has gained in the past to produce answers to complex questions.
