Most of the world’s Google searches have already been handled effectively, but ambiguous or new queries can be challenging. Now, for its Search business, the tech giant is using artificial intelligence to filter search results. It uses RankBrain, according to The Verge, which in tests beats the firm’s experts in selecting pages. Execs of the Mountain View, CA-based firm last week have been talking about investing in artificial intelligence and machine learning, reported Bloomberg. The Android maker has been among the biggest firms that sponsors AI, investing heavily in it for speech translation, videos, and now, search. During the recent months, most of the queries people type into search have been interpreted by an AI, nicknamed RankBrain, disclosed Senior Research Scientist Greg Corrado.
