Former IBM Watson execs land .8 million for artificial intelligence startup

CognitiveScale revealed a $21.8 million round of financing to advance it industry-specific machine intelligence software. “This funding will accelerate our mission to bring scalable, practical AI to the enterprise,” CognitiveScale Executive Chairman Manoj Saxena said in a statement. The investment will go toward growing sales and accelerating development of its product portfolio. The Austin, Texas-based startup offers two flagship products: Engage and Amplify.
