Facebook Announces Its Digital Assistant for Messenger ‘M’

Last week, Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the social networking site’s newest milestone after one billion users logged-in in just one day. This time, the company’s Vice President for Messenger, David Marcus, announced the testing of its newest digital assistant, “M”. Marcus released his statement regarding M’s testing last August 27 on his Facebook timeline. In his post, he also revealed that the company’s new digital assistant is now included in Facebook’s Messenger app. While it’s still early for M to be built into an at-scale service, Marcus states that the present development stage of the digital assistant, especially its undergoing testing is “an exciting step towards enabling people on Messenger to get things done across a variety of things”.
