Education Today: Curiousity feeds intelligence

By Jessica Hayes A couple of weeks ago, a good friend came over and took our family pictures. She brought along her two children, one of whom is the same age as my youngest, Jamison. As we wound down the family pictures, Jamison and Graham wanted to take some together. The result is one of my favorites. The two of them are on the side of a trailer behind our barn staring intently at the ground. Apparently, while Ashley was taking their pictures, they discovered a bug and were watching its movements. This encounter made me think about summers with my grandparents in Scranton, when my friend Shannon and I spent our days roaming the neighborhood, looking for roly-polies, and investigating the garden. There was always so much to see…
