Drones are pretty big these days in the news, and hence it is no surprise to see more and more effort being put into the development of drones as well as the kind of technology that they carry. For instance, it has been reliably reported that Swiss researchers have come up with a new kind of rescue drone that is capable of recognizing and following passageways, even if those happen to be littered with thick undergrowth as well as rough terrain, and to do so autonomously – all thanks to a form of complex artificial intelligence.
