Dr. Melanie A. Samuel, assistant professor in the Huffington Center on Aging at Baylor College of Medicine, has won an $80,000 Fay/Frank Seed Grant awarded by the Brain Research Foundation.  Samuel is one of 12 recipients selected from leading research institutions across the country to receive the grant. “We are grateful for the support of the Brain Research Foundation and are excited to pursue our studies,” said Sammuel. “We hope that our work will lead to a greater understanding of the processes that lead to cognitive dysfunction.” The grant will help Samuel launch early phases in her research.
